About Earthquakes
An Earthquake is when the ground shakes which is caused when two blocks of earth slip past each other. Along the fault line is where many of the eathquakes occur because that is where the two blocks of earth slip past each other. The biggest earthquake is called a mainshock. After a mainshock there are smaller earthquakes that happen afterwards called foreshocks. Foreshocks can continue weeks after the earthquake, sometimes even months and years.
